STOP

The road to becoming a person of value is like going from blindness to sight.   It’s like being in a blizzard, with the snow coming down so heavy that you can barely see your hand in front of your face.  This is what it’s like in the world of media.  Everything is designed to catch our attention from all the products at the mall to TV to bill boards, the internet, email, text messages, radio, Youtube videos, to the apps on our iPhone.  Each  is like a big snow flake, but there are so many things being put in front of us at any time it’s easy to see how overwhelming it is.

MEANINGLESS MEANINGLESS
IT IS ALL MEANINGLESS

As you start to look for value in the world around you it quickly becomes apparent there is not much value there.  Most peoples highest value is to be distracted from there everyday reality.   Distraction may be a value for the masses, but if you are committed to making your life count, and being apart of a supercharged MasterMind Group distraction better not be on your list of values.

THE VALUE TEST

With all this stuff we have to have an easy system to sort through all the distractions. This is where we have use our good judgment. But not to sort each piece of information or media that comes in front of us but rather to make a decision about what we will allow to come in front of our eyes.  The MasterMind group allows us to schedule success into our lives, but an hour every week or two is not enough to become a person of value.

ABSTINENCE?

The easiest way to cut the distractions and the “value suckers”  out of our lives is to make a decision to cut entire classes of distractions right out of our lives.   I have been noticing something for awhile now.  When I meet super successful people many of them have chosen to cut TV (time vacuum) out of their lives altogether.  Others have decided to not engage in social media, because they don’t see the return on their investment of time.  And yet others have gotten rid of their cell phones completely, and they let their assistant handle all their calls.

YOU ARE THE JUDGE, JURY AND EXECUTIONER!

If you don’t decide what will occupy your mind and attention the world around you decide for you.  You are the Judge, you have to make a ruling!  You can’t be wishy washy.  You have judge the value of what consumes your time and your life.  No one on their death bed says, I wish I would have spent my life watching more TV.

CHOOSING VALUE

The choice for you may be to STOP talk radio, or music on the way to and from work, and invest in audio courses that will add value to your life.  It may be cancelling cable, and using your TV to watch a rented movie with the family once a week, so you can more easily read a book before you go to bed rather than putting on TV and seeing, hours, days, and years sucked out of your life, never to be gotten back again.

HE WHO IS FAITHFUL IN LITTLE THINGS WILL BE RULER OF GREAT THINGS

The people who can’t see the amazing future in front of them they think it is too great a sacrifice to give up their TV or their songs in the car on the way to work.  These are small easy decisions that lay the foundation for the decisions to come in the future.

LOSERS THINK WORTHLESS THINGS ARE VALUABLE

Those other people think that TV is valuable, so valuable they will sacrifice their potential, their future, the future of their children.  The contribution to society is to be a good consumer sitting in front of their TV’s listening to the mind numbing messages of the advetizers trying to get in their wallets.  The average American watches TV 153 hours a month, or 1,836 hours a year – WASTED – That is 229 8 hour days watching TV a year!

CAUGHT IN THE BLIZZARD

They are caught. They are trapped. They are blinded.  Because you are a person of value this is not for you.
